she was raised in a slum area by people who are not even the same race as her, in a world where the only other human being is miles away across an endless sea, and she’s been doing everything she can since she was a child to give back to the community she grew up in. given the hungry basement carapaces, she also seems to be a major (if not the only) means of survival for that town. she has seen and experienced firsthand the deplorable state the condesce threw the world into, and that’s why she was so desperate to start the game at once: because she’s hanging on to that slim chance that she can help change the world so that the condition she’s living in now never happens. she’s so starved for human interaction (as is evident in her story), but in the middle of her duty to the carapaces, her own problems with her social life, and the drinking habit that grew out as her coping mechanism of sorts, she STILL finds time to be happy and positive and just
